It's all about MEEE!

Well, i'm a 26 year old single mother to a beautiful but incredibly mischevious 4-year old girl. I have a very good relationship with her father despite having been separated from him since she was 7 months old. In my spare time (ha bloody ha!) i study with the Open University for a degree in Psychology.

I can be found in various (mostly unsavoury!) haunts across the internets, but this is the best place to start to get to know me. If words aren't your thing, i can also be found here in pictures, and here in music. :o)

Personality-wise, i'm intense, stubborn, "high maintenance", and tend to confuse even myself with contrasting and (at times) overwhelming emotions. However, i am incredibly open about who i am and what i'm like; i'm equally aware of my shortcomings as well as the things i excel at. I'm crap at offering up descriptions of myself though, so if you want to know anything, just ask! I'm complex, but i find it keeps life interesting.

Away from parenting and study there are many things i do to relax, although most of them are a little geeky in one way or another. I build websites, 'draw' graphics (paintshop), i write, i read (actual books! Mostly Philosophy or criminal), i play guitar, i listen to music (a lot!)... the list is endless and changes on a daily basis according to my mood. I also travel a fair bit; The tiny one and i visit friends up and down the country when i'm up to it... we both love the 'adventure' element of just packing up and buggering off for a bit. This is slightly harder now she's at school part-time, however!

So, the reason for this website?

Aside from sheer boredom and recently learning (and wanting to practice!) CSS and HTML coding, i decided that as opposed to having a bunch of pages, profiles, photos, and glimpses into my life scattered in disarray across all four corners of teh internets, i'd consolidate them all in one place so people don't have too look far to get to know me. For any further info, check out the 'fave sites' page - links to all my online profiles/forums/etc are there, as well as loads of other fab stuffs.

Some random facts about me:

• I can be both cripplingly shy & boldly confident dependent on both mood, and on which side of the bed i fell out of that morning
• Despite being completely addicted to CSI, i hate television with passion
• I have positive days where i am bubbly, happy, and fun to be around. I equally have black days where i close off and have no interest in being social whatsoever, extending occasionally to the inabilty to open my door or answer my phone.
• My personal motto is "Say what you mean; Mean what you say" - neither promise a lie nor hold back a feeling regardless of how uncomfortable it might be to share it. Honesty really does make life easier, and people aren't mind-readers
• I habitually typo the words 'yuo' and 'jsut', and i grossly over-use the exclaimation mark
• Meteor showers, baths with candles/oils, fists in my hair while kissing, thunderstorms, massage, and being called 'girl' are some of my most favourite things in the world
• The de-capitalisation of 'i' isn't accidental; more about this can be found in the 'submission' section.
